RETURN POLICY

1. 7-Day Cooling-Off Period

In accordance with Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 ("ECT Act"), you are entitled to cancel your purchase within  seven) 7 days of receiving your item(s) without providing a reason and without penalty, subject to the following conditions:

  • You must notify us in writing (by email to info@4ren6.co.za) within this seven (7) day window;

  • The item must be unused, undamaged and in its original, sealed packaging;

  • You will be responsible for the direct cost of returning the item to us;

  • We will process your full refund within thirty (30) days of receiving the returned item.

 

Important: Due to the nature of our Products (drug, alcohol and cotinine test kits), the seven (7) day cooling-off right does not apply to any test kit that has been opened, partially used, or whose tamper-evident seal has been broken, as such Products cannot be resold for health and safety reasons. This exclusion is consistent with Section 44(2) of the ECT Act.

 

2. Defective Goods – 6-Month Statutory Warranty

Under Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA"), all Products carry a built-in six (6) month statutory warranty against manufacturing defects, unsafe components, or lack of merchantability. If your Product becomes defective within six (6) months of delivery:

  • Contact us immediately at info@4ren6.co.za with a description and, where possible, photographic evidence of the defect;

  • We will arrange collection of the item at our expense;

  • If the item is found to be genuinely defective, you have the right to choose between a repair, a replacement or a full refund;

  • This warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, abuse, misuse, negligence, failure to follow the product instructions or use of the Product other than for its intended purpose.

 

Note: Our test kits are single-use consumable items. The statutory warranty applies to manufacturing defects (e.g., a defective sensor, faulty reagent, or damaged device) and not to the expiry of a consumable or results obtained from use.

 

3. Unwanted Goods – General Returns

If you change your mind after the seven (7) day cooling-off period, we accept voluntary returns within fourteen (14) days of delivery, subject to the following conditions:

  • The item must be completely unused, undamaged and in its original, sealed packaging;

  • Test kits with broken tamper-evident seals or opened packaging are not eligible for return;

  • You are responsible for the return courier costs;

  • We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of ten percent (10%) of the purchase price where the outer packaging has been opened or damaged.

 

We will process your refund within fourteen (14) days of receiving and inspecting the returned item.

 

4. Refund Processing

All approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. We do not issue cash refunds. Refund processing times may vary depending on your payment provider but will be completed within thirty (30) days of approval.
