Individually foil-wrapped test strips are used for the detection of traces of Cotinine in saliva at levels above 100ng. Cotinine is the first line metabolite of nicotine and any source of nicotine (vapes, cigarettes, cigars, or tobacco products) will be detectable. Results are read in 3 – 5 minutes.
Oral fluid test strips are approved and licensed under the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA).
